Someone told me the other day that they only count absentee ballots if it will make a difference in the election outcome, which is kind of disappointing since my first time voting might not even count for anything :(

Oh, good! I've had such bad luck mailing things to France in the past that I was afraid it wouldn't get there until November! That's definitely the quickest anything I've sent has made the journey.
