Last night I went to my friend Lindsay's concert. She plays guitar and writes her own songs and she's taking a class at the University of Paris that has something to do with music. She met a lot of really great people there and they've arranged for her to play a couple of shows at local bars. So her last show was last night and she's really good. She even sang some Christmas songs!
Today, after my last class at the University of Paris, I went to the Victor Hugo Museum, which is at his house in the Marais, right on the Place des Vosges. It had a ton of artwork, mostly portraits of Hugo and his family, as well as tons of books/manuscripts/notes/letters about Les Miserables.
Then, after that I got a hot chocolate (chocolat chaud) to go at Angelina's, that amazing hot chocolate place that I've talked about before and went into the bookstore next door to it. It was the first time that I've just hung out in a bookstore for a really long time and it was amazing. I had forgotten how much I love to just look at all of the books and how I want to read every single one of the books. They also had a really huge American literature section in the back, which was a pleasant suprise. After that, I went thrift store shopping in Montmartre. What a perfect afternoon!
And now I'm watching Elf and Love Actually instead of studying for finals. Ahh, I love Christmas season!
