Night at the Comédie Française

Last Wednesday night was the 3rd opera/ballet that NYU offered and I got last minute tickets. It was at the Comédie Française, which is close to the Opéra Garier. I was late, as usual, and this time, they refused to seat us. There were a lot of NYU students who were late, so they agreed to give us tickets to the next show later that night.

In the meantime, we had like 2 hours to spare. So my friends and I went to Harry's New York Bar, where they invented the Bloody Mary.

Me, enjoying the complimentary peanuts.

They had pendants from like every US college. At first we couldn't find NYU, but then...we spotted it promintentaly displayed in the middle of the wall. It's so old that you can barely even tell that it says New York University. Anyways, in the picture below it's between Michigan and Yale.

Ferris and Erin sitting on the upper upper balcony.

Sara and I sitting in the world's tiniest seats.

The show that we saw was an opera version of Dido and Aeneas, but it was a really weird show in English (though I still couldn't understand what they were saying) with little school girls running around the stage and screaming. It's undescribable and entertaining, to say the least...
